一.熬夜应该如何表达呢？

1. night 

owl: 夜猫子，用来形容经常熬夜的人。 

owl [aul]: 猫头鹰。I'm a night

owl. 我经常熬夜。

2. 其他表达： 

I'm an evening person. 

I'm not a morning person. 我经常熬夜。

pull an all nighter: 熬了一晚上，强调通宵。 

nighter 熬夜人 

I stayed up all night 我通宵了

早睡早起的人如何表达

early bird 

形容早睡早起的人。 

The early bird catches the worm. 

早起的鸟儿有虫吃。 

I'm a morning person. 

我喜欢早睡早起。

二、熬夜的各种理由: why night owls?

主动型： 

active/conscious/by choice: 主动。 

I'm a night owl by choice. 

我是主动夜猫，(主动选择了熬夜)。 

I worked very late, and I listened to music or watched some Tik-Tok, and then stayed up late. 

我工作到很晚，我会听一些音乐，刷一会抖音，不知不觉就熬到很晚。 

Phones and screens are temptation 

手机和屏幕设备有很大诱惑。 

temptation: 诱惑

被动型： 

passive/ not by choice: 被动。 

The quality of sleep is important. 

睡眠质量是至关重要的。

Too much things to worry about 操心太多 

Being stressful压力大 

have trouble sleeping 入睡困难。

insomnia [ɪnˈsɔmnɪə] 失眠症

suffer from insomnia深受失眠困扰

suffer from sth. 受...困扰，形容被病症所困扰可以用suffer
